NIKE BE TRUE

I was asked to illustrate the connection between skate culture and the Nike Dunk Be True pack, for a live painting installation at NikeTown London.

Nike Dunks are originally a basketball shoe that were adopted by skateboarders in the 80s. Taking reference from the product colour palette and skate culture visuals from the same time period as the shoes were being skated with a basketball twist, the installation contained a full size regulation hand painted glass backboard and hardwood floor.
